Inspired by Boogaloo Joe Jones, George Benson and Horace Silver, the Keitels—featuring guitar, keys, bass, drums, percussion, saxophone, and a singer - plays live every month at the Bearded Lady and all around Meanjin. Projects
An eclectic and versatile performer, Harvey is the cofounder and lead guitarist of the award winning Brisbane based blues band Blues Arcadia. He also frequently plays in various jazz duos and bands and is a regular session player and co-songwriter for some of Brisbane’s leading indie, rock, blues and county singer songwriters.
Harvey is also the Musical Director and Producer of an Amy Winehouse Tribute show that was a sell out success in 2011 and again in 2021 to mark the ten-year anniversary of Winehouse’s death.
Blues Arcadia
Formed in Brisbane around the songwriting partnership of vocalist Alan Boyle and guitarist Harvey with collaborators and partners-in-crime Jeremy Klysz (bass), Paula Girvan (keys) and Casper Hall (drums), they received a 2017 Australian Blues Music Award and a 2017 Australian Roots Music Award nomination for their debut self-titled EP release.
Jazz + Blues Session Musician
Being well versed in all jazz and blues standards, Harvey is regularly booked by singers and instrumentalists to play in duo, trio, quartet and quintet gigs. If you are interested in booking Harvey for a jazz gig or wish for him to organise a band for your next event, please get in touch.
Co-writer + Session Musician
Harvey plays for Brisbane based sing songwriters such as Emma Bosworth, Angela Fabian and Jackie Marshall to name a few. In 2019, the song Low Road he co-wrote with Emma Bosworth was finalist “Song of the Year” at the Australian Roots Music Awards and in 2020 was the finalist Blues/Roots Song of the Year at the Queensland Music Awards.

An Amy Winehouse aficionado, Harvey is the creator and Musical Director of the Amy Winehouse Tribute Show. After sell-out success in 2011, the show will return in 2021.

Latest Album
