It's Harvey here - Brisbane’s Guitar Teacher in West End. It's a scorcher of a day in Brisbane and looks like it's going to storm. So what better time to learn this Howlin' Wolf Riff off Smokestack Lightnin'.

In today's video, I teach you this riff and tell the story of how I got started at 15 years old. Shout to my mate, Ben Smith, who all those years ago scribbled out a few chords for me on an A4 sheet of paper including the open E pentatonic scale.

This is how I started but LISTENING and doing lots of it, is what moved me forward.
